Spring Food Drive Kicks Off on East Jefferson
This March, Staff Council Charity Fund launched our 2026 Spring Food Drive — the first major collection of the year — with drop-off points along East Jefferson Avenue and at partner workplaces across Detroit.
What We're Collecting
Non-perishable food, baby formula, hygiene kits, and household paper goods. Every item is sorted and delivered to local pantries serving families in the 48214 zip code and surrounding neighborhoods.
How to Participate
Workplace teams can host a one-week collection bin drive. Individual donors may bring items to our mailing address during announced drop-off windows (see our Contact page).
Principal Officer Mennen Gibbs shared: "Spring is when many families face gaps between winter bills and summer stability. A full pantry makes a real difference."
