Winter Warmth Initiative Reaches 120 Households
Michigan winters are unforgiving. This January, our Winter Warmth Initiative provided coats, blankets, and emergency heating referrals to approximately 120 households in the Detroit area — with a focus on seniors and families along the East Jefferson corridor.
Partners Make It Possible
Staff councils at three partner employers ran coat drives in December. Volunteers logged over 200 hours sorting, packing, and delivering items in coordination with local shelters.
Beyond Supplies
Through our Outreach & Referrals program, caseworkers connected 34 individuals to utility assistance programs and weatherization resources. Warmth is not only about clothing — it is about keeping the heat on.
Thank you to every donor and volunteer who made this season safer for our neighbors.
